This story explores the essence of money, an unfortunately indispensable fixture in our lives, and the sophisticated manipulation some of us employ to get our hands on it.

GIOCO

GIOCO means "the game," a game in Italy in 1930.

Of the four heads of the mafia families, one has died, and three remain: Felix San Banksa, Donald Co Cafalat, and Victor El Caballo. At the funeral, they are dismayed to find that the heir of the fourth family is a young girl. Of course, the old bosses would like to snatch her property "quickly and easily," as sarcastic San Banksa says, but the dandy Co Cafalat insists that life isn't like that.

The cover of my book: The illustration looks like a playing card in which the figure of the "queen" is Deborah San Giovi. In the background, we see her father's tombstone on the left, and the Joker appears on the right, spreading cards and money. On the globe there is a map of Italy, because mainly in this country the game takes place.
